Beyond WPI
Although I have spent and do spend a lot of time at WPI, I do have many other interests. They include:
- Travel; I am a big fan of cities, but I’m up for visiting just about anywhere.
- Skiing; I prefer the west but have to settle for the east living in Massachusetts. Utah has been my favorite.
- Reading; mostly nonfiction, business, current events.
- Television; some favorite shows include Lost, The Sopranos, 24, The Office, Nip/Tuck, and various national news programs. TiVo makes it even better!
- Technology and gadgets; especially the iPhone!
A side project of mine is ParkingBan: at http://www.parkingban.org. ParkingBan is an intelligent agent responsible for delivering news, weather alerts, and winter parking ban status information for Worcester, Massachusetts. It is most frequently used as an AIM bot (screenname ParkingBan). I created it with a fellow WPI alumnus in 2005, and we’ve been enhancing and improving it continuously.
