Commencement 2009

Although I work in the Admissions Office, my favorite day of the year at WPI is Commencement. It’s such a celebratory event, and it brings together coordination from all areas across campus. I am a part of the Commencement planning committee and assist with various duties on the day of the event. May 16, 2009 will mark the 141st Commencement at WPI, and the planning for the day has been underway for several months already.

Today WPI announced that the 2009 Commencement keynote speaker is Ursula Burns, President of Xerox Corporation. In addition to my admissions updates over the next few months, keep an eye out for my take on Commencement!

    Yup, we’ve streamed for as many years as I can remember. It’s been about the same each year, though. Maybe time to kick it up a notch. http://wpi.edu/News/Commence
